OtoShelf
An iPhone music player
for Google Drive.

OtoShelf lets users browse their own Google Drive folders with read-only access, import supported audio or video, play music, and save selected tracks for offline listening. OtoShelf never modifies or deletes the original Drive files.

Planned as a one-time purchase. No monthly fee, ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.

Google Drive is currently the only supported source. Keep supported audio or video files in Google Drive first. OtoShelf uses read-only Drive access; you choose the folders or files to browse, import, play, or save. Direct import from iOS Files, iCloud Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, NAS, or other sources is not supported.

GOOGLE DRIVE ONLY

Keep your files in Google Drive first.

OtoShelf is built around a Google Drive library. It does not currently import music directly from your iPhone or from another cloud or network storage service.

What you choose

iOS Files, iCloud Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, NAS, and other file sources are not supported at this stage.

YOUR MUSIC, YOUR CHOICE

Keep your music
within your reach.

OtoShelf does not ask you to transfer any rights or licenses you hold in your music.

You choose which folders join your shelf, which tracks stay on your iPhone, and when local copies are removed.

ONE-TIME PURCHASE

Pay once.
Listen your way.

Our launch plan is a paid, one-time purchase—with no monthly fees, ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. Price and regional availability will be confirmed before release.

A simpler way to listen to the music you have.

Choose your collection, place it on your shelf, and listen. OtoShelf is designed around only what that experience needs.

Your Google Drive folder becomes an album

The internal build can browse Google Drive folders read-only, import a folder or individual track, and preserve nested folder hierarchy.

Stream it or keep it offline

Internal verification covers playback, explicit offline save, video-to-audio-only conversion, artwork and metadata refresh, and duplicate-save prevention.

You choose the play order

The development build supports playback from albums, the library, search results, and offline tracks—in order or shuffled, with repeat controls.

DEVELOPMENT PROGRESS · AUGUST 18, 2026

Implemented for internal verification. Still pre-release.

The repository and internal development build now exercise the core shelf, playback, and local-storage boundaries. This is progress evidence, not a public release announcement.

Verified in development

Core music flow

  • Google Drive only: read-only browsing, folder and individual import, with hierarchy preserved
  • Playback, explicit offline save, and video-to-audio-only conversion
  • Artwork and metadata refresh, offline duplicate-save prevention, and on-device deletion
  • Local deletion does not modify Google Drive originals

Evidence includes automated checks, fixture/scripted flows, and Simulator development builds.

Before public release

Release gates still open

  • Live Google consent, My Drive, real media, reconnect, and relaunch end-to-end checks — reported complete on the tested physical device; public evidence is not included here
  • Restricted-scope verification and security assessment
  • Physical-device audio, background playback, and codec checks — reported complete; signed-release evidence is still open
  • Signed archive Privacy Report and App Store disclosure reconciliation

Build 11 upload to Apple is complete and the build is in internal TestFlight testing only. It is not a public or general TestFlight release, and Google OAuth approval is not implied.

READ-ONLY BY DESIGN

No re-uploading.
No changes to your originals.

OtoShelf is designed not to collect your music on a developer server, not to alter your originals in Google Drive, and to leave local storage decisions in your hands.

What OtoShelf does
Reads only the folders and media you choose
What OtoShelf does not do
Send requests to upload, update, rename, move, copy, or delete your Drive originals
See how data is handled

Clear choices, without the guesswork.

We explain what OtoShelf does—and does not do—when you save, delete, disconnect, or purchase.
